Shamrock is a playful, smart, 16 month old dog. He’s a quick learner and already knows sit, down, stay, come, off, wait, kiss and go pee. He has not exhibited any destructive behaviors, has a soft mouth when taking treats and loves to hand out with his people. He has shown friendly behavior and interest in other dogs, although he can become frustrated and reactive with barriers between him and another dog. He loves his squeaky ball, tug-of-war, swimming and going for walks.
Shamrock is sponsored by AAHA, Adopt A Homeless Animal and his adoption fee is $250.

Shamrock is starting to understand that he’s not the only dog that’s around. Shams seeing them enough, he’s not responding as he would with space of course. He’s doing okay around Hailey – she’s the most tolerable of the bunch. He loves to run with Booker – it’s like watching two lions run in the wild. He’s also a baby; all he wants to do is be near you during down time whether it’s his body pressing on you, his face on yours, or he’s literally lying on you (half body). He is definitely getting better with his manners. He just LOVES being around people!

I’ve had block head now for a week and I have to say it’s really been fun! I learned quickly that he is on your time – whether you chill or you want to play, he doesn’t mind either. I also learned that Shamrock LOVES to lay beside you, his face pressed on yours. Shams/Rock is mouthy, but it’s very playful – he just LOVES that connection with you and him. His favorite thing to do is tugging with the rope tennis balls and flipping in the air stuffed animals. Shamrock is a joy to hang around. He and Booker love the fence and Hailey seems to like him.
Shamrock listens and he is picking up on his basic commands, though at times he gets hard headed LOL.

Shamrock...Shammy Whammy...Rock...Rocky...he's already got so many nicknames because the handlers all love him so much! He joined the HOPE Program today so that we can continue to build on the skills his foster family taught him, like keeping all four paws on the floor, not being quite so mouthy, and some general obedience skills to show off how well-behaved this guy can truly be. Please follow his journey with the HOPE Program!
