Insurance companies can, however, choose not to insure based on nearly any reason, including breed designation, even if the dog has never displayed signs of aggression.”
Foremost Insurance Company has been very progressive with issuing insurance policies to consumer who own pit bulls.
State Farm Insurance does not discriminate against pit bulls or any other particular breed of dog.

Day by Day Pet Support Group is a pet support group for people with terminally or critically ill pets. They do offer grants to pet parents who are in financial need. Grants are based solely on need of pet parent.
Feline Veterinary Emergency Assistance (FVEAP)
Seniors, people with disabilities, people who have lost their jobs, good samaritans who rescue a cat or kitten — any of these folks may need financial assistance to save a beloved companion.
God’s Creatures Ministry
This fund helps pay for veterinarian bills for those who need help.
IMOM
Dedicated to ensure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged.
The Pet Fund
The Pet Fund is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit association that provides financial assistance to owners of domestic animals who need urgent veterinary care.
Pets D.C.
Available to: residents of DC who have HIV/AIDS. Assistance: Provides public health education, exercise, pet foods, veterinary care, grooming, fostering and adoption services.
Pit Bull Rescue Central
Available to: shelter organizations, foster care givers, rarely individuals whose personal animals are in need. Assistance: medical treatment and S/N funding. Guidelines online.
RedRover Relief (with a link to www.redrover.org/relief) – RedRover Relief provides financial assistance grants and additional resources so pet owners and rescuers can care for animals who need urgent veterinary care.
