HOPE Guidelines
In order to submit a rescue dog for consideration for the HOPE Dogs Program, the following criteria must be met. The prison will not allow a dog with a bite history. Is the dog…
- friendly toward humans and animals without any signs of aggression?
- spayed or neutered?
- current on all vaccinations and with a clean bill of health?
- under the supervision of a local rescue group or animal shelter?
- in need of basic obedience skills and/or individual attention with regard to training?
- able to be crated?
If you have answered yes to the above questions and are still interested in submitting a dog for the program, please fill out the application for participation below. Upon approval, the application will be placed in our active file and the dog will be considered for the next available space in the program.
