Meet Bull Mastiff mix Hooch! He’s a stunningly handsome boy!

Hooch was found in a very bad section of Philadelphia as a stray. He was emaciated and likely hit by a car. He has a fractured rib that will hopefully heal on its own, without surgery.

Hooch is a LOVE BUG with humans. But he is NOT a fan of other dogs. He also is a source guarder, which means that if you give him a treat or toy you will never get it away from him. It’s easy to deal with as long as when you give him something you don’t try to take it away from him, or you can trade him for a higher value item. CPAA’s trainer will offer guidance on this issue.

CPAA will only consider adopters with big dog experience and within a 40 mile radius of Harrisburg. Hooch is a very strong boy, thus, big dog experience is essential!
